RIDE HEIGHTS: ( Wide Metric Suspension )
  • Left and Right Front: Level front tie rods with drag link
  • Right Rear: 2-3/4" to 3" between axle tube and right rear lower frame

1996 DESIGN FRONT SUSPENSION:
  • All reference points measured same as standard suspension
  • Recommended spring rates for standard 3 link suspension:

    LF: 750 lb.     RF: 850 lb.     LR: 250 lb.     RR: 225 lb.

4 BAR SUSPENSION:
  • Set cars with 30 lbs. left rear on bird cage 30 to 50 lbs.
  • Left rear on clamp bracket.
    NOTE: LR varies according to track conditions.

    LF: 750     RF: 850     LR: 200     RR: 175

FRONT WHEEL ALIGNMENT SETTINGS:
  • Standard or Wide Suspension
    Caster: LF: 2+2 1/2+     RF: 4+4 1/2+
    Camber: LF: 0+1/2+     RF: 2 1/2-

TORQUE ARM SETTINGS:
  • 275 lb. spring 2 1/2 - 3 travel. Preload 1/2" and check travel.
    NOTE: 40-42" range usually performs best

REAR SUSPENSION SETTINGS:
  • Four bars should be run in third hole up on top bars and top hole on lower bars.
  • Raise upper bars up to help a push condition
    NOTE: Raising bars up usually promotes forward bite initially but will unhook car mid straight away

4 Bar lengths from center to center are as follows:
  • Left Upper: 17" Right Upper: 17" Left Lower: 15" Right Lower: 15" Panhard bar should be third hole up on frame and level behind rear end. Center to center 26" length.
    NOTE: Raise panhard bar on frame for more side bite.



3 BAR SUSPENSION:

SPRING BAR:
  • 39 1/2" center to center
    1/4" preload on 850 lb. to 900 lb. spring

LOWER TRAILING ARMS: LR: 20 1/4"     RR: 20"
  • 8 degrees pinion angle
  • Watch body roll 2 1/2 to 3" on RR, 1 3/4 to 2" on RF
  • More left rear to correct loose condition coming off turns
  • When car is loose on entry, not enough right rear or not enough body roll

SHOCKS:
  • LF: 75     RF: 75     LR: 94     RR: 94

    90/10 over rear end mounted as far right as possible 10-12 degrees angle up to front of car

PERCENTAGES:
  • 52% to 53% left side
    53% to 54% rear
    Keep cross between 48% to 50%
